Articles

I found the above article very interesting. It explains clearly few aspects of the phenomenon of Facebook, states that it’s unbeatable by any other social, it’s really addictive and whole the real social world is slowly moving into a virtual one.
I found out that there’s about 1 billion(!) pictures uploaded monthly on Facebook and the amount of users is growing unbelievably fast. It has grown 250% in 5 years! Many people are updating the statuses few times a day and love to describe everything what they do at the moment. The teenagers have played the major role in making Facebook what it is – 85% of college students use Facebook every day. Moreover, I was taught that Facebook deletes photos of breastfeeding mothers or deletes the accounts of the people with strange sounding names. And, I didn’t know that in Syria the use of Facebook is forbidden!
This article is quite useful while we consider the marketing campaign of iPhone. Our target group is mostly based on young people and the lecture of the article has confirmed our assumptions about using Facebook fan page of iPhone for the promotion.
Elżbieta Dyduch

This article presents all the main reasons why Apple has such strong position on the market. Apple is undoubtedly one of the most popular brands in its kind worldwide. It has its own characteristic devices, which make this brand looks special among others. The most distinguishing feature is that this brand focuses not only on functionality of its devices, but also on their appearance. I agree that design has a powerful impact on potential buyers. What is more, the advertising campaign uses lots of colorful photos instead of words and I think that it is a good idea, because  photos can convey more meaning than large amount of words.
On the other hand it is obvious that in advertising not only pictures can be shown, hence Apple try to keep simple message for consumers by using just a few words, which gives the essence of the advertisement. It’s good, because those messages are easy to remember, so a receiver will recognize the brand in the future. It is a smart mechanism of building a brand.
In my opinion, it is a brilliant idea that Apple gives people a sneak peak of a product long time before it is launched. The anticipation drives people crazy and then it is more likely that they will buy a product – a product which has already succeeded before even entering the market.
Even more interesting for me is Steve Jobs’s (CEO of “Apple Inc.”) phenomenon. It is amazing that he plays two parts in his company - he is not only the president of the enterprise, but also he actively promotes his brand. Mostly, all of what an average CEO does is sitting behind the desk, but not him - he shows himself on the stage and meets the audience. It gives a very positive note.
To sum up, this article is important, because it gives us some valuable hints on how to make your business successful and it is a good summary of the main points in advertising campaign. Definitely, it is worth paying attention. What I can learn from it is how a company becomes well prospering and recognizable among others by using right marketing tools.

Quality is the main thing when you want to enter the market – it’s nothing new. But some companies tend to forget this truth after existing and prospering some years. They do not improve they products, just because they claims that the one good enough 2 years ago must always one of the best. It’s very irrelevant sort of thinking in still-changing environment. Company needs to work for its brand all the time and still control if its actions are relevant to the market. It can’t forget to think what can do to be the best at market not only now, but also in 3 months.
To be sure that people fully understand greatness of your product you need to present it like that. And that is the other problem in Poland. Speaking with no passion is very often tendency in Polish companies (nothing strange because Polish system never actually teaches students how to speak to public!). In these area Polish people can learn a lot from Americans (it’s a proven fact that there are no better speakers than they are). (The point considered in the article that we should be interested in the topic to make good entertainment is so obvious that I won’t even comment the statement). We should make our best to communicate as good as we can because we have to show our customer that we respect him and he’s important to us.
And also Apple invests in people. But whispering marketing,  it’s only the first step. They created all community consisted from people which cannot imagine living without Apple products. It’s great idea to promote blogs, twitters and other news about the brand or product. It shows customers that they are not alone in the world who use the product, but they live in a big community that’s growing all the time.  The actions like that causes that customers are going to identify themselves with brand and make them harder to leave it in the short time.

Building your brand value is really important in marketing nowadays. Without marketing strategy it's hard to reach good rate of sale. Fortunately there are some basic rules and tips that almost everyone agrees on.
Social media is one of the best business and brand value promotion tool these days. If  companies don't use that kind of promotion they are really missing out on new customers and a chance to improve a brand recognition. So it's great idea to create your profile on Facebook, which is the most popular social media site. When your customers say something positive about your company on Facebook all of their followers and friends will see it. It's a great advert and it's free!
Another really important issue is simply to ask customers about their opinions, about what they like and what are their expectations. Even if their opinions are bad it is good for you, because you know your weaknesses and then you can improve your product.
A good idea is also to give some gifts or discounts to your customers. After that kind of distinction happy consumer will buy your product next time too.
This article, shows us more ways to improve our brand value like for example adding more colors to our website in order to attract people's attention.
All off this directions are very useful when you are set out a strategy to double your brand value. And that's why this article is really important for my. There are main problems to consider in one place. Off course you should be also creative so you can try some new ways to market your product or service.
What I can learn from it is mostly how to make my company more recognizable among others, which I think is essential of marketing. This knowledge will help me in my future work, study, next assignments. It will be easier for me to set out marketing strategy and get to the client.

Image – The Apple brand is not targeted towards business people, which most smart phones have targeted. Does not have a reputation as being compatible with the corporate world.
Price – Apple does not yet offer lower priced models for more cost conscious consumers.
User Interface – Touch screen interfaces suffer from the problem of “gorilla arm,” in which long-term use of a flat, solid surface for input becomes uncomfortable.
